Pastor Jim Lindus
Pastor Jim Lindus was born and raised in DeKalb, Illinois. After receiving an undergraduate degree in Education from Northern Illinois University, and after toying with the idea of a career in golf, Jim decided to follow a persistent calling to pastoral ministry.
He holds a Master of Divinity degree from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN where he now serves on the Board of Directors.
From 1986 to 1989 he served at Bethany Lutheran Church on Bainbridge Island, WA. He has been head pastor at Trinity Lutheran Church since October 1989.
Pastor Jim and his wife, Felicia, (who serves as Sunday School Coordinator), have been married over 25 years and are parents to three daughters.
As senior pastor, Pastor Jim preaches, teaches, provides pastoral care, helps define TLC's vision, heads the church staff, and has fun living with God's people. He believes in sharing the Gospel within the context of love, service and hospitality.
Pastor Dennis Hanson
Visitation Pastor
Dennis Hanson pastored churches for 36 years until his retirement in 2000. Along with Pastor Dan, Pastor Dennis is frequently referred to as one of the "wise elders" at Trinity Church.
Pastor Dennis serves as part-time Visitation Pastor and does some preaching and teaching throughout the year. He received his BA from Concordia College, Moorhead, MN in 1960 and his M.Div. from Luther Theological Seminary, St. Paul, MN in 1964.
Pastor Dennis served as senior pastor of Christ Lutheran in Whitefish, MT from 1964-76; First Lutheran in Sandpoint, Idaho from 1976-1995; and Anacortes Lutheran in Anacortes, WA from 1995 until retirement in 2000.
Pastoral Associate
Annette Andrews-Lux
As part-time Pastoral Associate, Annette works in baptismal preparation for adults, children, and parents of infants. She conducts new members' classes, adult education, and Saturday evening worship. She also has a deep interest in enhancing family and personal spiritual development.
Annette's diverse background includes campus ministry; volunteer work on a Northern Cheyenne reservation in Montana; parish youth work in Sacramento, CA; teaching adult education, leading workshops and retreats, and personal spiritual development coaching. She also interned in hospital chaplaincy and ministry to homeless women.
Annette received her M.Div. degree and a post-Master's Certificate in Spiritual Direction from Seattle University in 1991. She taught for and then coordinated Seattle University's Scripture and Leadership Training (SALT) certificate program for lay parish volunteers. She also taught scripture for three years on the Swinomish reservation in a monthly Kateri Ministry training program for lay Native ministry volunteers.
Married, with two children, Annette continues to freelance as a parish adult education teacher, retreat and workshop leader and spiritual director.
Minister of Music
Karl Olsen
Minister of Music Karl Olsen oversees and coordinates the music program at Trinity, working with pastors, lay leaders and other congregation members. He directs "Splash!," (a children's choir), "Breaded Fish," (Trinity's worship band), and the Trinity Church Choir.
Karl has been a soloist for a variety of organizations and director of the Whidbey Island Madrigal and Motet Society, the Whidbey Island Chorale and one of the directors of the Sing!Chronicity Vocal Ensemble.
Karl holds an MA in Vocal/Choral Music and a Bachelor of Music Education (BME) from the University of Denver. He taught general music at The Bush School in Seattle, has been music director at three churches, and taught music at several elementary schools, including South Whidbey, Coupeville and Oak Harbor.
Karl has also produced two recordings, "Heart of Mystery" and "This Love" which is available for sale in the church office. He just recently joined "The Brothers Four" popular singing group as its newest member.
Parish Manager
Robin Edgeman
Robin has been Parish Manager at Trinity since 1993 and a member of Trinity since 1991.
The Parish Manager works closely with congregation and staff to ensure the smooth running of the church office and assists the members and pastors with communication, lay ministry and worship. Robin also does the scheduling for church facility use.

Ask Mary, our parish nurse. Mary has more than 20 years experience as a registered nurse, and has worked in many different hospital units.
Come in to the church office on Wednesday mornings from 10 a.m. to noon. You don't need to be a member of Trinity to take advantage of this important service.
Sunday School and Volunteer Coordinator
Lana Johnson
Trinity Lutheran offers Sunday school classes from preschool (age 4) through 8th grade at 9:30 a.m. from September through early June.
Childcare is available for children under 4 while you worship at any Sunday service. Kay and Judy look forward to greeting you and meeting your children when you join us for Sunday school.
